1. Description.

Viscous, water based paint for the decoration of exterior walls.

2. Composition.

No ingredients present a health hazard within the meaning of the Chemicals 

(Hazard Information and Packaging) Regulations 1993 or assigned occupational exposure limits.

3. Hazards Identification.

Product not classified as dangerous for supply in accordance to CHIP Regulations.

4. First Aid Measures.

General:

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.  Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Inhalation:

Remove to fresh air, keep patient warm and at rest.  If breathing has stopped, administer artificial respiration.

Eye Contact:

Contact lenses should be removed.  Irrigate copiously with clean fresh water, holding eyelids apart, for at least ten minutes.  Seek medical advice.

Skin Contact:

Remove contaminated clothing.  Wash skin with soap and water. DO NOT use solvents or thinners.

Ingestion:

If accidentally swallowed obtain immediate medical attention.  Keep at rest. DO NOT induce vomiting. If conscious give milk or water to drink.

5. Fire Fighting Measures.

Recommended Extinguishing Media:

Alcohol resistant foams, CO2, powder, water spray/mist.

Recommendations:

As the product contains combustible organic components fires can produce black smoke containing hazardous products of combustion (see Section 10). 

Decomposition products may be hazardous to health. Cool containers exposed to fire with water spray.

6. Accidental Release Measures.

Avoid breathing vapour.

Floors may become slippery.

Contain and collect spillages with non-combustible absorbent materials (e.g. sand), and place in a clearly labelled container suitable for disposal in accordance with the waste regulations.

Clean with detergent.  DO NOT use solvents.

DO NOT allow to enter drains, septic tanks or water courses.

7. Handling and Storage.

Handling:

Apply by brush only.  Avoid skin and eye contact.

Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in areas of storage and use.

Storage:

Observe Product Data precautions. Keep ALL paints out of reach of children.

Store between 5°C and 25°C in a dry, well ventilated, place.

Containers which have been opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.

Store separately from oxidising agents, and strongly acidic and alkaline materials.

8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection.

Provide adequate ventilation.

Respiratory Protection:

Should not be necessary under normal conditions of use.

Hand Protection:

Barrier creams may help to protect exposed areas but are not substitutes for full physical protection.  Seek advice from glove manufacturers on appropriate types.

Eye Protection:

Wear eye protection designed to protect against liquid splashes.

Skin Protection:

Cotton or cotton/synthetic overalls are normally suitable.  Grossly contaminated clothing should be removed and skin cleaned with soap and water.

10. Stability and Reactivity.

Stable under the recommended storage and handling conditions.

In a fire, hazardous decomposition products such as smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and oxides of nitrogen may be produced.

11. Toxological Information.

Repeated or prolonged contact may lead to non-allergic dermatitis.

Splashes in the eyes may cause irritation and reversible local damage.

Ingestion may result in sore throat, abdominal pain and nausea.

12. Ecological Information.

The product should not be allowed to enter drains or water-courses, or be deposited where it can affect ground or surface waters.

13. Disposal Considerations.

Waste, including emptied containers should be disposed of in accordance with the Control of Pollution Act 1974, and the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

14. Transport Information.

Not dangerous for transport.

Always transport in closed containers that are upright and secure.  Ensure personnel are aware of procedures in the event of accident or spillage.
